Greensburg Garden Center

Manjushree Roy, a member of the Norwin Art League, has a show at the Greensburg Garden Center.  Twenty-five of her portrait and figure paintings will be on display from June 11th to August 18th.  A reception will be held on July 28th and is open to the public.

Annual Norwin Art League Exhibit

Our 43rd Annual NAL Exhibit will be held at the Redstone Highlands Clubhouse, Redstone Drive, North Huntingdon, PA, September 7-10, 2017.  An opening night reception will be held at the Redstone Highlands Clubhouse on September 7, 2017, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  Parking for the event is at the New Hope Presbyterian Church, 12727 Lincoln Way, Irwin, PA.

This is an open Exhibit show with local artists’ works of art on display in a variety of media, such as Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Mixed Media, Mosaics, Digital Art, and Photography.  The categories and their definitions are:

  • Open – Original work and composition done by advanced skilled artist.  (No copies of other paintings)
  • Amateur – Work done solely by artist independently.  (No copies of other paintings)
  • Adult Student (Advanced) – 5+ years of painting.  Word done with supervision and in class.
  • Adult Student (Beginners) – 0-5 years of painting.  Work done with supervision and in class.
  • High School Students – Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior.  Work done with or without supervision.
  • Photography – Traditional and Enhanced Photographic images.  Images are changed only slightly to refine it.
  • Digital Art – Altered or manipulated Photographic images.
  • Mosaic/Glass – Hangable, two dimensional pieces only.  Maximum weight 15 lbs.

RULES:  All pictures must be framed and wired for hanging.  Exceptions:  Paintings on 1-1/2″ or thicker “gallery canvasses” need not be framed, but must be wired for hanging.  Gallery canvasses accepted only with properly finished edges.  Screw eyes must be no lower than 4 inches from top of frame.  Size of picture with frame must not exceed 42 inches in width or length.  Watercolors, pastels, graphic, photographs, and batiks must be framed and under glass for protection.  Artists may not enter artwork previously shown by them in the Norwin Art League annual exhibit.  Artwork must remain for the entire show and must be picked up on Sunday evening, September 10th, between 5:00 and 6:00 pm.

ENTRY FEES:  This fee is the same if you have one piece or two pieces of artwork.  $30 standard fee; $25 for Norwin Art League Members in good standing in 2017; $10 High School Students.  Maximum number of artwork that can be accepted for the show is 200 pieces.

DEADLINE:  Entry form must be returned with fee no later than Monday, August 14, 2017.  Artwork must be received on Wednesday, September 6th, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, at Redstone Highlands Clubhouse, Redstone Dr., North Huntingdon, PA.

SALES:  The Norwin Art League will handle all sales and retain 20% of such sales.  Mark entries NFS if you do not wish to sell your artwork.
